My New Obsession

Thrive Market

I’m currently obsessing over Thrive Market, a lifesaver for the health-conscious busy body with minimal time.  Think of Whole Foods, Amazon, and Sam’s Club/Cost Co all combined into one business concept–the high-quality products of Whole Foods, the online convenience of Amazon, and the wholesale prices of Sam’s Club/Cost Co.  That is Thrive Market–genius, right?

I signed up for the free 30 day trial, but ultimately bought a one-year membership (only $59.95, which is comparable to a Sam’s Club membership) because it is just so, so convenient.  I’ve also saved $203.04 off of retail prices since Thrive offers wholesale prices.  Say what?!

Here are some products I’m loving from Thrive Market:

  1. Thrive Coconut Oil: high quality, healthy fats, and tastes great!
  2. LaraBar Cashew Cookie: delicious and #whole30approved
  3. Equal Exchange Organic Breakfast Blend Ground Coffee: did you know coffee is one of the most heavily polluted products out there?!  I started buying organic once I learned that little tidbit.
  4. Acure Organics Sensitive Facial Cleanser: this cleanser feels so, so soft on your face and is super gentle
  5. Woodstock Organic Medjool Dates: nature’s candy and #whole30approved
  6. Molly’s Suds Laundry Powder: your body absorbs so much of what touches your skin, so we have been making a conscious effort to switch to clean household products

I could go on and on, but those are my top 6.  I’ve already ordered 4 shipments from Thrive, which ultimately means less trips to the grocery store and Target as well as peace of mind knowing the products are both clean and high quality.

Use this link to sign up and give it a try!  Let me know what you think!

Also, I finished my 200 hour yoga teacher training program!!!  It was amazing, and I’m now a certified yoga teacher.  Hit me up in you want a private class.  🙂  More details on my experience coming soon!

Self Love Sunday: 9 Tips to Love YOU!

Sundays are a great day to take some quality time for YOU!

Love Yourself First

9 ways to give yourself some LOVE today:

  1. Start your day with a warm glass of lemon water to hydrate and flush your body.
  2. Don’t just drink your morning coffee or tea, really ENJOY it by doing something that relaxes you at the same time: read, watch your favorite show, or simply enjoy some quiet time to yourself.
  3. Spend time goal setting for the upcoming week.
  4. Devote an hour to exercise, even if it is a simple walk around your neighborhood.
  5. Fuel yourself with nourishing foods.
  6. Meal plan (and grocery shop, if needed) for the upcoming week to ensure you stay on track with your health goals.
  7. Start a new book, or spend time reading one you haven’t yet finished!
  8. Tidy up your work spaces to allow for an organized and welcoming atmosphere, one that both inspires and calms you.
  9. Finish your day with a relaxing bath and get excited for the new week!

Morning Motivation

Slow Down

As I approach the 26 year mark, I often feel the pressure to make decisions, accomplish more, and hone my skills on certain things.  I just finished graduate school, am working and exploring all that the world has to offer a young, female professional in this day and age.

Do I sometimes stress that I should have figured out my life plan at this point?  Of course.  I think that is only natural.  I often worry that I should be more rooted by now.  Especially when I think about all the things my peers and role models have accomplished.  But, I have come to realize that I can’t set deadlines for myself.  There are so many opportunities in today’s world, things to explore and experience.  If I force myself into situations that I think I should be in, it wouldn’t be organic or right.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

So, in 2013, I have vowed to slow things down, figure out what I really value and enjoy, not what I think I should value and enjoy, and focus my energies there.  Meditate and reflect more.  Develop my spiritual practice.  Worry less.

After that, I know things will fall into place perfectly.
